Feels good to be back. Can't believe it's been nine months. Time flies so quickly. Avery is doing well. Growing like a weed. He's crawling, pulling himself up on whatever he can and has 6 teeth. Oh did I mention he has his mother's patience! haha

Motherhood is treating me well. With Rob's drive, I have to do a lot on my own and I'm getting tired. Today is Rob's last day of school so he'll be able to help out more. We're still struggling with naps but have been from the beginning. He just wants to soak up everything!

7 Mos

This won't be a long entry as I'm at mom's and she has the retchid dialup!

I don't know about you all but I'm loving the warmer weather. Avery and I get out for lots of walks and just time outside...although the blackflies are putting a damper on our activities lately.

Nothing new really, we're just growing and Avery's getting cuter by the day. Almost got the crawl thing down so life is about to get a lot more hectic! Rob's in Waterloo for 3 days with his students so I decided to visit my parents for a few days.

Gonna try to attach a picture. Hope it won't take forever! Miss you all. Happy Spring!!

Long time no type

Hi all,

Missing the computer like you wouldn't believe. I feel so cut off.

Avery is growing like a bad weed. He's 6 months today and it doesn't seem real! He's very active, trying his hardest to crawl and he's pretty vocal. Not sure where he gets that from?! He has started cereal and loves it. But, we are having a terrible times with naps. Believe me, he's horrendous!!! Sometimes I want to rip out my hair.

I know this entry is short but I'm at my father in-laws and its Avery's bed time. Bye for now!

September 10

Over and Out...For Now

I am not so sure where the time has gone...this pregnancy...this week or even today for that matter. As of this coming Friday, my blog entries will become a lot less frequent:( I am leaving work and the convenience of the computer for what I hope is a full year.) I held back some vacation (2 weeks in fact) so I would have time to tie up any loose ends and be at home should this baby come early.

I hope once the baby comes, to be able to sneak over to my sisters to update the site on a periodic basis so you can all see our new addition and keep you up to date on what's going on in the Knapp household.

Right now, I'm just feeling really big and tired and uncomfortable. This is the home stretch so it's both exciting and scary. Right now, we're emptying out the garden, freezing and canning our wares for the winter. I feel like a squirrel! hehe. Rob and some of his buddies are supposed to be putting the finishing touches on the nursery this weekend but I'm not holding my breath! It never works out like we think. Either way, baby will at least have his/her own room and a crib to sleep in... and of course two parents that love him/her very much.

Thanks to all for your kind words of encouragement and advice over the last nine months. I will be in touch! Love you all:)

August 27

1st Baby Shower

Last Sunday, my sisters and mother threw Rob and I a wonderful baby shower. My cousins Ed and Laura Lee hosted the event at their house in Belleville and the weather cooperated for the most part. It was nice to have a couples shower where everyone could get together, catch up and share some laughs. It was so nice to see family and friends and of course, be filled in on the ups and downs of parenting.

We were absolutely spoiled rotten with lovely gifts for the baby and I can't wait to set up the nursery with all these wonderful treasures. I hope anyone who reads this knows how much Rob and I appreciated the day and enjoyed seeing everyone. We regret that we didn't have more time to spend chatting with everyone. Thanks to all those who shared in our special day and made it so memorable.

I hope to attach pictures in the near future as I for once was not behind the camera, but in front of it.
